Painting with coffee beans in Costa Rica

I spent some time in Coasta Rica summer 2006 and on the day I had to leave I saw an oil or acrylic painting of a coffee plant using real coffee beans embedded into the canvas. It was on display at the Gran Hotel...I wondered who the atrist might be? Does anyone know of works like this?
