Cocobolo wood is an exotic wood that possesses a rich color and is very durable.

It is a strong hard and fairly heavy wood and has natural oils that give it a rish satin luster even without using stain.

Cocobolo is very rare and doesn't reach the world market much. The Costa Rican government even requires a permit to cut down any Cocobolo tree.
